Jane Austen’s ‘Pride And Prejudice’ At 200
“My affections and wishes are unchanged, but one word from you will silence me on this subject for ever.”
Need this today.
Every day, but today especially.
“I’m not actually ginger. They dyed it once a week to make me look more like Kelly Reilly’s (Caroline) brother.”(Simon Woods)
The moment you know that P&P will be your “good mood pill”.
Chills every time. Whatever.

“Acting is private and it’s mysterious but it’s also quite shallow, it’s nothing deep”
Which Darcy was your favorite?
Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle in Pride and Prejudice (1995)
Hello, Mr. Darcy.
“I think every girl is looking for her Mr Darcy. I’d go for someone who is a little bit brooding and somebody you can have a good conversation with, a good fight with, someone who’ll always keep you guessing and make you laugh.”
Happy Friday everyone, you deserve it.
What do you like on historical dramas?
I like dressing up. And I love sumptuous costumes. But in private life I prefer wearing Paul Smith Jeans and basic Jeager shirts.
“First, he’s the right age. Second, he’s a big strong manly man. I didn’t want a pretty boy, boy band kind of boy, I wanted a man, and he’s an incredible actor. I’ve loved his work for many years and I think he is an astonishingly good actor. I know also he is not vain; he’s not coming to the role trying to promote himself as a fucking sex symbol. He’s coming as an actor trying to understand who his character is. He’s interested in people and I think that’s probably why he acts and so for all of those reasons he felt perfect”.
